Player-Developed TBG Scripts


This site is the official repository for public TBG gaming scripts. Please contact bruce.ellsworth@gmail.com if you would like to submit a script for public use. It will be checked for bugs and placed here for community enjoyment. (Note: Bruce is no longer playing TBG, so we need a new person to oversee the addition of scripts here. Please let the Design List know if you're interested.)
  • SST Archive - Corby's classic SST archive goes all the way back to issue 1 but is missing issues 22 and 33.
  • Turnulator - Corby's Turnulator2 is an indispensable tool for TBG order (re)submission and verification.
  • Low Tech Shop Modules (LTSM) - Free, up to date information on where to find modules necessary for early ship development.
  • Galactic Council Data Center (GCDC) - Free information collected by aliens and distributed to Presidential office holders. (Not updated since turn 1731)

  • Galaxion - Many scripts and much arcane lore still in use today were originally conceived and developed by Galaxion.

  • Adventure Risk Calculator - Callandor's adventure risk calculator helps determine when you need to send additional officers along, when you need to spend favour to increase your chances, and when an adventure is just too tough for your crew to handle.
  • Enhancement Requests & Bug Reports - A summary of pending TBG enhancement requests and bug reports, with Design List links to the full request(s)/description(s).
  • Recent Rule Changes - A list of recent TBG rule changes as they appeared in the Subspace Times GM's Comments, with links to the specific SST issues. (Not updated since 3/5/08)
  • System Information - A list of recent system reports and other data drawn from Alien Reports and RFATs.
  • TBG Galactic Portal - ScAvenger provides a much more complete list of other useful pages.
  • TBG Rules Index - A quick index of the official rules. Review them early and often to improve your knowledge and proficiency.
  • Trade Good Values & Factory Locations - A static page of Trade Good values and factory locations, sorted by value.
  • The Ultimate Guide to TBG - An all-inclusive guide to TBG, designed as a user-friendly supplement to the rules (with tons of links to both the rules and to other player-made resources). Useful for ships of all ages, but organized especially for newer players and restarters. (Not updated since 1/2008)

Currently not working:
  • Module Trade Board - Castoff modules are often worth more to another ship than the paltry energy you gain by liquidating them. Use this free service to dispose of unneeded modules and find the modules you really want.
  • ICG - The Intergalactic Commerce Guild provides up to date trade goods pricing to the community at large. Contributing members have access to shop module locations and starnet passwords in addition to the free trade data.
  • Newbie Ships - Aquila's list of all TBG ships under 100 turns old, minus the phantom ships that periodically appear in the "Newest Ships" ranking list. These ships should be given special consideration since they are still in the learning process. Attacking a newbie ship will often draw reprisals from older ships who disapprove of that sort of activity.
